Choosing a Surfboard
The traditional beginner's board and still used by experts is the longboard. Typically about 9 feet (2.7 m) in length, they can be as long as 12 feet (3.7 m) or more. The average longboard is approximately 21-24 inches (53-61cm) wide, though some are wider. Generally made from polyurethane foam, usually coated with fiberglass, they now come in composites of different types, as well. The number of fins isn't standard, but the usual board will have one, just in front of the midpoint or near the tail.

A Velcro fly with an easy pull draw string, wax comb with bottle opener and fin key, and Velcro side pocket complete the package. 100% polyester. Machine washable.
The men’s Billabong Peg Leg boardshorts are made of 100%polyester. It features a pin stripe pattern, a velcro fly and drawstring front closure, a side welt pocket with a velcro flap closure and an embroided logo, and a screened logo at the left leg opening.
The men’s Alpine Stars Spray boardshort features a 2-way stretch fabric, a spray paint print all over, a side patch pocket with a velcro clap closure, a bungee key loop inside the pocket, a stretch panel at the inseam, logos at the very bottom of the leg opening sides, a zipper fly and drawstring tie closure, a solid inseam panel and back panel.
